Pricing questions, answered.
What counts as a conversation?
A chat that a visitor starts in the chat window. Messages sent through the offline form do not count. The count starts again on the first day of each month.
What happens after 50 conversations on Free?
The chat window switches to the offline form until the month ends, so no message is lost. The inbox shows a banner to upgrade.
How does the trial work?
Every new account starts with 14 days of Pro. You do not need a card. When the trial ends, the account moves to Free unless you subscribe.
Why per site and not per agent?
Most small businesses run one site with a few people answering. Pro includes up to 5 agents on each site, so adding a colleague costs nothing extra.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, from Billing in your settings. When the subscription ends, the account moves to Free.
What happens to old chats on Free?
Free keeps 30 days of chat history, and older conversations are deleted. On Pro you choose how long to keep them: 24 months unless you change it.
Where is my data stored?
On Hetzner servers in the EU. Nothing is stored on a visitor's device before they start a chat.
Do Orbit clients pay for TalkMerlin?
No. Pro will be part of the Orbit plan. Switching it on from Orbit is coming, and is not built yet.
